It has seemed like a long week and the weekend went by way too quickly, but it has been good. There are times that I think Norah is thought of often and missed very much, but everyone is coping. I really believe that in the evenings when Amanda (she is here for two years), Kaylie (she is here for 3 months), and I are hanging out with the big girls, the girls think of Norah, knowing that she would love being in on the fun.

I love how such little things make for a fun time. For example: On Thursday evening some of the teenage girls show up over at Amanda’s house and get some “tutoring help”. I have found out that is more bonding then studying, which works for me. :) Anyway, so Thursday night all the big girls came over and I brought the sun glasses that I got from the church in Kodiak and the girls got to choose which pair they wanted. Originally the plan was for Amy (full time missionary) to come over ten minutes or so before the girls would leave to go back to their houses and she and I were going to bring up some things that involved Norah. Talking about Norah would have definitely changed the atmosphere. So the girls were all laughing, posing, we were taking tons of pictures and having such a great time. When Amy came over, not but two minutes later, we lost power, and right then I said to Amy, I think this is Gods timing. The girls were laughing and having fun and it just wasn’t the right time to bring Norah up. The girls continued having a blast taking random pictures in the dark with sunglasses on. So therefore the little things can be great. All you need are teenagers, sunglasses, camera, and a timely power outage. What a great evening.

Saturday the plan was to leave GSF around 9:30am. I took all of the Lords Meade kids to Kampala. So there were 19 kids, 5 mzungus (white people) and then the driver. We finally left the orphanage at almost 11am. Late as always, but we were late returning. J We were able to meet up with three of the former GSF kids. All three live in Kampala, so they were able to come and spend the day with us. It was so great to see them. Two of the students were here when I came my first time and one was a Amber Starr who lived with good friends of mine in Alabama. Well Amber got married a couple of weeks ago, so her and her husband came to hang with us. It was so good to meet Godfrey and see how the kids were so excited to see their formers sisters. I think everyone had a great afternoon together. Thanks to some donations, I took the girls for pedicures and manicures and while we were doing that the boys went bowling, skating, and watched some soccer games and then we met up for dinner. It was just a great time fellowshipping together and getting out of Jinja and going to the big city. It was a tiring day, but well worth it.

Things have been keeping busy. I have gotten to spend some time with lots of the kids, which is what I love to do. We do have a little boy who is in stage 4 of Aides. He has his good days and bad days, but please be praying for Phillip. GSF has already lost two kids to Aids this year, so it has been hard on all the kids, staff and missionaries.

Sorry I haven’t kept everyone very informed; the internet has been so hit or miss. I keep getting quite impatient. So please bare with me. Also if you haven’t received the three other updates you can go to the following web site https://akrohrer.tripod.com/

Thank you for keeping GSF and I in your prayers.
